JAMES PHARAOH

James graduated from Bretton Hall University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in Theatre Design & Technology back in 1998. He is currently the Director of Theatre at The Quarry Theatre, Bedford. He won a Pride in Bedford Award in 2016 for raising the profi le of the town. James has also directed the Bedford Festival Fringe since its conception in 2007. Recent lighting design credits include The Glenn Miller Mystery (licensed by CMG Brands Hollywood CA) and Somewhere in England (a specially commissioned production funded by The Harpur Trust).

JACOB NEWTON

Jacob is the Quarry’s resident technical intern and graduated from New College Nottingham in 2017 with an FdA in Theatre Arts (Technical Theatre). Since then he has worked on a number of local productions as sound designer, lighting operator and technician. His most recent credits include West Side Story, Goodnight Mister Tom, One Man Two Guvnors and Romeo and Juliet. His tenure at The Quarry continues to further his professional development through working closely with a wide range of professional touring productions, local groups and Bedford School students.
