Rayna trained at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York after receiving sponsorship from the late Victoria Wood, Cathy Tyson and the New York Times. Theatre includes: Girl Dem (Criterion Theatre), West End, Down Dog (Underbelly, Edinburgh), Straw Men (Union Theatre), From The Pit of My Stomach (Etcetera Theatre). TV includes: Sick of it (Sky One), Safe (Netﬂ ix), Invaders (The Discovery Channel), The Dumping Ground (CBBC), Hominid, Casualty, Doctors, Girls’ Weekend and Waterloo Road (BBC), Coronation Street, Scott & Bailey (ITV), The Run (Channel 4 OD).
Short ﬁlm credits include: Borderland, The Scar and The Drink. Rayna also played the title lead opposite August Diehl in Layla Fourie, the Berlin Film Festival Special Mention Award entry, for which she won Best Actress at The International Women Film Festival of Sale, Morocco. The Film also won the Special Mention Award at Berlin Film Festival.
