DOMINIC KELLY
Dominic is a director, actor, acting coach and artistic director of the salon:collective. Directing credits include Look Back in Anger (part of the 60th anniversary Osborne and After festival), My Name is Hunger (Park Theatre), Random Acts of Shakespeare (London site specifi c), Twelfth Night (Hoxton Hall), London: Four Corners, One Heart (Theatre 503) the 40th Anniversary production of Patti Smith’s Cowboy Mouth (King’s Head), Virgin Mary & Local (Camden Fringe 2014), Salon:Bites Chekhov, Occupy:Love, All’s Fair in Love & War, That Way Madness Lies, Echo Chamber (Cockpit Theatre), The Day They Banned Christmas (Courtyard), Normalisation (From the Ashes Films), (St Pancras Crypt).
As an acting coach Dominic specialises in the Meisner Technique of Acting and runs a full actor training at the salon:collective as well as working for Drama Studio London, City Lit, Regent’s University, City of Westminster College , Cornwall College and internationally.
As a creative consultant, Dominic advises writers, actors, and producers on script development, devising, and casting. He has assisted and worked with top Meisner coaches, Tom Radcliff e (Actors Temple) and Martin Barter (Sanford Meisner Centre, LA) and has been mentored by David Harrower (leading Scottish playwright).
In 2018 Dominic received the Olwen Wymark Theatre Encouragement Award from the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain. He also holds a 1st class Hons. degree in Drama from Royal Holloway University.
